Background:The Yanesha have a long and rich history. They are believed to have descended from the Arawak people, who migrated to the Amazon rainforest from the Orinoco River basin over 2,000 years ago. The Yanesha lived in isolation for centuries, until they were first contacted by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century. buying this coffee helps to support the longevity of this community.
